There was a flock of migrating birds swooping and swarming over our house this morning. We opened the windows just to listen to the amazing sound of their wings and chirps. It reminded me of this INCREDIBLE video of a murmuration of starlings filmed in Ireland. So beautiful you will want to watch it again and again and even then it doesn't seem real.

It is this video - this phenomena -that I had in mind when I wrote the end of the "On Soaring Wings" chapter in Twist. I'm sure I didn't do it justice, but I tried.
