A continuation of [livejournal.com profile] ginger_veela's Writing Meme from earlier this week.  (My answers to Part I here)

22. Easiest fic to write. - Any of the drabbles, I can pound those out in a half-hour (although sometimes it shows). Of my longer fics, Lost and Found wrote itself.

23. Hardest fic to write. What Happens in Făgăraș, Stays in Făgăraș is proving to be very difficult. Far from done, the words are not coming in part because I'm having to follow canon from my own story (Twist). Self-doubt has also entered the picture and I have little confidence in my writing at the moment.

24. Paraphrase (or quote) the best review you ever received. There are two reviews from Twist that I will never forget, they were sent as private messages because the reviewers were commenting on how Twist affected them. They both talked about how my words seemed to be speaking to them personally, and in one case helped them move on from what had happened to them.  I can't share those because they were intended to be private and will remain so.  Reading these messages and having people tell me how my writing had the power to move people, and make them reflect on their own live is an amazing feeling.

Here is a review I adored from LizHG on FF
"My house is not clean, my laundry is not done, my cupcakes are not baked and the long overdue book is still not returned to the library because HOLY SHIT that was the MOST AMAZING piece of fanfiction I have read in a long, long time. I don't even know where to begin on this because so freaking much happened in this story that my brain is still trying to take it all in.

All together, this story made me laugh, cry and hug and/or punch some of the characters. I was glued to my chair for I don't know how many hours because I just Couldn't. Stop. Reading. Your characters were beautifully fleshed out, believable and balanced, even your OCs which I normally hate with the fire of a thousand suns. I adore Simon and wish we had seen just a little more of him.

Young Draco and Harry were so sweet and beautifully normal and natural in their relationship and Cedric. Aaaah! If Cedric had been expanded a fraction of what you did in the actual books, he wouldn't be seen by some people as just the guy that got killed off when Voldemort came back. And Draco during the trials and after the war my heart just hurt for. And Harry too. But they each had their supports.
Luna was a wonderful companion for Draco, someone so peaceful and serene to balance out all his turmoil and suffering. And Charlie was tough and strong enough to handle Harry's outbursts. I love your Charlie by the way. Love, love, love him. He is the forgotten Weasley by so many, but not you. To be completely honest, I simply CANNOT wait for you to write about him and Harry in Romania.

But you have earned a vacation from your writing. I'm in awe of anyone that can write a 300k word story, but in 10 months, with this quality? Holy crap. Favoriting and following you, because your writing is addicting awesome and this was the best piece of fanfiction I've read since Checkmate." Couldn't ask for a better review!

25. Paraphrase (or quote) the worst review you ever received. They all follow a similar theme:  "Reading this was weird. I didn't really weird it.. I skimmed over every chapter. It was too drawn out and didn't catch my attention really. I think I'm done here." I did like the Delicious bookmark that had Twist tagged as #buttnoise

26. Fic that hits closest to home. Late Night Reading - cause this happened to me (sans Harry)

27. Fic that's furthest from your personal experience. All the stories with Magic? No? Then probably Truth and Lies, as it a longish infidelity drable

28. Fic you've always wanted to write, but haven't (yet). The plotbunny that has been in my head the longest is Harry raising a magicial child who is blind.

29. Fic you've permanently abandoned. I started a Harry/Ginny story where it appears as though Ginny was cheating on Harry. Actually stopped writing posting because all the GinnyLovers  were so vicious in their comments. I knew where the story was going but had no desire to write it after the first couple chapters. The reason I don't write more H/G stories is that there are such vocal/easily pissed off Ginny!Lovers and Ginny!Haters that it isn't worth the hassle. For the record - I like Ginny, I like Harry with Draco or Charlie better, but I have no problem with Ginny or any of the Weasleys.

30. Fic you're currently working on. I have three stories that I've currently have posted and am updating (not nearly frequently enough). Two other major stories that are being written but won't be posted until finished (I've finally learned my lesson there, it's only taken two years).

31. Favorite canon character from one of your fics and why. Cedric - I loved fleshing out his character in Twist.

32. Favorite original character from one of your fics and why. Simon  - Cedric's boyfriend in Twist, he turned into much more of a
'person' than I intended and he appears again in Fagaras.

33. Most popular character you've written and why. -  I think Twist's Draco is who my readers like the best. I was surprised how his character was the source of so much love, sympathy whereas my Twist's Harry the readers were, overall, very unsympathetic towards. I think I could have written Harry better to convey what he was going through in the story. I am trying to make up for this while writing Fagaras which is a companion story to Twist, which in part is why it is so difficult to write. I screwed it up once, don't want to make the same mistake again.

34. Number one source of inspiration for your fics (e.g., songs, people, RL events) -Music was my inspiration in Twist, there are chapters where it almost becomes a song!fic - but with songs from the 60s and 70s. My era of songs :)

35. Describe your muse, if you have one: name, gender, personality, etc. What does one call Popcorn & Wine? It is my muse, but I've gained a stone because of it so have had to say good-bye to the wine!muse.

36. Fic that just won't die (i.e., you reread it/think of it frequently, or you keep writing chapters/prequels/sequels) - Twist. Definitely Twist.

37. Completed fic you never want to revisit (not necessarily your worst fic!) Spirits and Divination - it is  a gen fic (with a hint of H/G) that has Harry helping Sybil Trelawney. Just a spontaneous things I wrote.

38. What your worst critics would say about your writing. Sloppy, I am a lousy editor. I write for fun, but have a very busy life. I would
never get anything posted if I had to try and get all the errors out. [livejournal.com profile] omi_ohmy is a life-saver, she has beta'd all my fest pieces and chapters in Firebond.

39. What your biggest fans would say about your writing. Empathetic characters and plots? And, Hedwig is a girl, goddammit! (long story)

40. What you'd most like to improve about your writing. Never ever again start posting before a story is finished. Have faith on where I want the story to go, the readers will either like it, or not.

41. What you like best about your writing. That I am able to put the words on the page.

42. What writing means to you in 25 words or less. - It is a creative outlet that for over forty years I never realized I needed or desired, but now that I've started, I can't stop.
