icmezzo has declared today to be TBT in fandom. URGH.

Love TBTs... don't feel obligated to read this but here is my second oldest fic (fall 2011) Brothers United. It is HP/GW and it got me in a shitstorm of trouble on FF.net. This is the time when I learned that you don't mess around with people's version of canon Ginny if you have a HP/GW tag. There were some seriously upset folks out-there, I had to turn off the notifications for reviews and shut off DMs because I was getting so much hate. Doesn't that make you just itch to read it? *crickets*

Wow, that is harsh. So glad I never got into the Harry/Ginny fandom (when I shipped them, I had never heard of fan fiction). I never would have been able to handle Draco hate. He has been my favourite since the first scene he was in.

Yeah. It was pretty discouraging. Especially since it was the second story I'd written and the first that was all my own plotting (the previous was an extension of DH to tie things up). No small wonder that my next story was a HP/DM. What's funny is now I can see how easy it would be to flip Brothers United into a drarry :)
