Spirits and Divination

I saw this posted on a Facebook page and it made me squee. Well, not really, I'm too old to squee but let's just say my jaw metaphorically dropped. In Goblet of Fire we all had a chuckle when Sybill Trelawney "sees" that Harry's birthday is in mid-winter, when we all knew that it was July 31st (p. 207 U.S. edition). Guess whose birthday is in mid-winter. Tom Riddle's. Rowling was already dropping hints about the Horcruxes, at another point she comments about Harry having a "tortured soul within." Hmmm. could it be the Horcrux she is seeing? How could it not be? 

Anyway in honor of Sybill Trelawney I'm posting the one-shot I wrote about her. Like many things that were left hanging at the end of Deathly Hallows I didn't like that she was forever left an alcoholic. Neither did Harry...so once again Harry to the rescue. Don't worry this is not a HP/ST pairing (ick!).
Summary: Sybill Trelawney is forgotten and lost in post-war Hogwarts. Harry sees her wandering the corridors and decides to help.

Harry sat near the bottom of the trapdoor that led to the North Tower. He had his Charms for the Ages textbook out and was keeping his head carefully down as he waited as the first years climbed down the ladder after their classroom was done. The first several students stopped abruptly as they climbed down the ladder.
