There are a grand total of 33 stories on AO3 for The Martian, 17 of which are Watney/Beck (translated=Matt Damon/ Sebastian Stan for the upcoming movie). It is interesting participating in the birth of a fandom. I've written one story and have a few more in mind. Unlike the Harry Potter fandom where there is a vast universe of resources available to writers, The Martian fandom has nada, that I have found. So I created an Extremely Unofficial Timeline for the events in the Martian, along with corresponding page numbers (US paperback edition). The second tab on the GoogleSheet has the scant information that Weir gives about various characters. Weir does not waste time or words with pesky details like hair or eye color. If you have suggestions/additions for the timeline, please let me know!
