Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner

Today's challenge:In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Draft a critical essay about a particular media. Put together a picspam or a fanmix...

Today's was easy and lovely because @capitu's Day Six fandom request was for dialogue-only drabbles so I get to fulfill her request while filling my day seven challenge! Just a little Harry/Draco interaction. 200 words.

“Malfoy.”

“Potter, why am I not surprised. Figures it must’ve been Albus who--”

“You’re just assuming that it’s Albus who--”

“Gentleman, Professor McGonagall is ready.”

“I told you it’d be your son’s fault.”

“Right, but he wouldn’t have suggested searching the forest for kettleryshells if Scorpius hadn’t told him about that potion.”

“Point.”

“Who would’ve guessed twenty years ago our boys would end up in the same house and friends?”

“Mmmph.”

“Right, well...heading back to London?”

“Where else would I be going?”

“Nearly tea-time, and I haven’t had Rosmerta’s cream scones in forever.”

“Are you suggesting…”

“I was just thinking that maybe since our boys are friends that maybe we could make an effort,,.”

“An effort to what, Potter?”

“To be friends. Or at least not pretend we haven’t moved on from what happened two decades ago.”

“You think that you and I could be friends?”

“Why not? At very least we could have tea without arguing.”

“With such nauseating optimism I’m surprised you weren’t sorted into Hufflepuff. I bet we couldn’t make it through the first pot without arguing.”

“You’re on.”

“What?”

“I’ll take that bet.”

“I wasn’t--”

“Scared, Draco?”

“Of all the...fine, lead the way, Harry.”

If one squints one could see a hint from Love Happened.
